A story about our longstanding relationship with Theobromas

“FOOD OF THE GODS”

A genus from the Malvaceae family that has held deep cultural, medicinal, and nutritional significance for several millennia, the name “Theobroma” translates to “Food of the Gods.” Since our collective venture into the cacao industry in 2017, we have evolved from producing chocolate solely for kitchen use to exploring broader applications of this Theobroma, harnessing its full potential.

Our efforts have expanded to include other fruits of the same genus, and we are now developing an innovative concept centered around Theobromas. In a country where the Amazon covers approximately 60 percent of the land area—an ecosystem conducive to the flourishing of these species—we have embraced the challenge of exploring them comprehensively.

The importance of this genus spans across interdisciplinary fields, from archaeology and gastronomy to craftsmanship as well as other contemporary issues such as the preservation of native crops through environmentally friendly agricultural practices. These aspects have guided our research and development efforts, and in the video we aimed to capture a glimpse of the overall process.
